Brief:
The Safety Coordinator for Chellino Crane is required to be the primary source for all safety-related issues for
the company. The safety of all company personnel and for the safety reputation for Chellino Crane’s clients is
the responsibility of the Safety Coordinator. The position is ever evolving as standards imposed by governing
bodies, industrial standards and client-site requirements change. The following are the job duties required for
the Safety Coordinator. These duties are subject to change in frequency and requirement.
 Client requirements
o Safety meetings
o Audits
o Safety plans and other necessary documentation
o Presentations
o Bid meetings
o Participation in associations and organizations
 Incident investigations
 Incident documentation
 Case management
 Employee training and certification
o Three Rivers Manufacturing Association registration
o New hire orientation
o Task specific training
 Rigging and hand signals
 Fall protection
 Hazard communication training
 Other training per OSHA/ANSI/Client-required
o Organization and documentation of 3rd
party certifications
 Crane and other equipment certifications
 OSHA 10, OSHA 30, other OSHA training
 First Aid/CPR/AED
 Other certifications
o Crane operator competency program; written and practical exams
 Personnel clearances
o Background ordering and review
o Drug and alcohol testing
 Designated Employer Representative (Primary DER)
 Maintenance of ASAP Drug Consortium listing
 Maintenance of DOT testing requirements and listings
 Consent forms
 Authorization (sending personnel for testing)
 Coordination with testing facilities
o Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC)
