Our designer Ian Black introduced us to Sow & Grow, a web app for folks looking to grow their own vegetables and have no idea where to start.
He shares his journey on trying to grow vegetables whilst learning javascript.
This document provides instructions for how to brew beer at home for about £30. It lists the necessary equipment including a mash tun, grain bag, thermometer, and fermentation vessels that can be purchased for under £30 total. It also lists the ingredients for a sample Citra IPA recipe using pale malt and Citra hops. The process involves mashing the grains to convert starches to sugars, boiling the wort with hops, cooling, fermenting with yeast, and bottling.
We held at workshop at Birckbeck University on "how to hack your job search"
Our workshop focuses on how we approach problem solving and using these technique to build a portfolio of work what demonstrates to the recruiter your skills and capability as a coder and as a problem solver.
Towards the end we briefly touched on how to build a resume
using user experience design techniques. We ditch the traditional template and opt for a landing sales page style format to quickly and effectively sell yourself as the right person for the job.
