An extensive part of the rear elevation
was demolished and reconstructed, with
substantial specialist propping and
structural support. Owing to the failure of
significant beams, the elevation was
reconstructed to match the existing
elevation. This was achieved under strict
time scales in readiness for major golfing
competition—an Open Championship .
These works were completed whilst the
property and facilities where in occupation
and utilised on a daily basis, requiring
very detailed planning and consideration
of the works .
