It began in early July, 1947, when a man called Mac Brazel went out to his ranch to check his sheep, after a night of big thunderstorm. He noticed a big amount of debris in his ranch a showed them to his friends and neighbours. Eventually, he showed them to Sheriff George Wilcox. Suspecting that the debris could be from the army, Sheriff Wilcox noticed the authorities at Roswell Army Air Field. Major Jesse Marcel, the Intelligence Officer at the 509th Bomb Group transported the debris to Roswell Army Air Field.

- Lieutenant Walter Haut, in charge of public relations at Roswell Army Air Field at the time of the incident and author of the original press release officially announcing the capture of a crashed flying saucer, died but left a testimony signed and certified, with instructions to be revealed only one year after his death. In testimony, Lt. Haut denies the statements of his life, and asserts that the balloon story was false, invented to cover the capture of an unidentified object. He said the object was initially stored in a hangar base, and parts of it were given to military officers, none of whom knew how to identify them. He also claims he saw two alien bodies, with approximately 1.2 m high and disproportionate heads, and the subject itself, which he describes as being oval and metallic. Haviam também descrições de aparelhos de comunicações, técnicas para introduzir capas finíssimas de certos materiais entre outras de tamanhos microscópicos, métodos especiais para produção de peças móveis para uma unidade antigravitacional para propulsão de uma nave… Tecnologia electrónica dinâmica e de controle de energia que ainda nem foi desenvolvida na Terra. Etc. Alguns dias depois, as oficinas de Shulan receberam a visita de uns “ladrões” que levaram todo o material que ele estava a estudar. Depois recebeu a visita de funcionários da oficina de investigações especiais as forças aéreas , e foi interrogado. Contudo, Shulman prosseguiu investigações, apesar de ameaças de morte que recebia. Ele afirma ainda que as sondas da Nasa, deep space ( para explorar o sistema solar) contêm um equipamento hostil, canhão laser, referiu-se ás sondas deep space 3 ou deep space 4.
