The bill was introduced by Representatives Apostol and Teodoro and would renew the franchise originally granted by Republic Act 4161, as amended.
The Senate Committee on Women, Children, Family Relations and Gender Equality recommends approving Senate Bill No. 3200 in substitution of House Bill No. 5572. The bill aims to strengthen measures against unlawful practices of matching and offering Filipinos to foreign nationals for marriage or partnership. It also seeks to repeal Republic Act No. 6955, also known as the "Anti-Mail Order Bride Law".

The Committee on Tourism and the Committee on Finance, to which was
referred House Bill No. 5576, introduced by Representative Romualdo, entitled:
"AN ACT
DECLARING TOURISM DEVELOPMENT AREAS IN THE
PROVINCE OF CAMIGUIN, ORGANIZING THE CAMIGUIN
TOURISM COUNCIL AND MANDATING SUPPORT FOR
TOURISM DEVELOPMENT IN THE PROVINCE OF CAMIGUIN”
have considered the same and have the honor to report it back to the Senate with the
recommendation that the bill be approved with the following amendments:
1. On page 1, Section 2, lines 4 and 5, delete the phrase "support tourism as
a vehicle for Job creation and economic growth and development", and In lieu
thereof replace with the following phrase "PROMOTE A TOURISM
INDUSTRY THAT IS ECOLOGICALLY SUSTAINABLE, RESPONSIBLE.
PARTICIPATIVE, CULTURALLY SENSITIVE, ECONOMICALLY VIABLE.
AND EQUITABLE FOR LOCAL COMMUNITIES."
2. On the same page 1, Section 3, line 10, change the subtitle "Camiguin
Tourism Development Areas.-" and in lieu thereof replace with the following
subtitle to read as SEC.3. "SCOPE AND COVERAGE. -"
3. On the same page 1. line 11.delete the word "shall" between the words
"Camiguin" and "include", and replace with the word "HEREBY"; then insert
the phrase BUT NOT LIMITED TO between the words “include" and "the"
4. On the same page, line 12, insert the phrase "THE FOLLOWING
