Special Projects Acquisition and Right-of-Way, Lead Agent: Report directly to Phillips 66 to purchase
rights-of-way and fee simple purchase of parcels of land for purposes of brine ponds, access to
export areas, and salt dome storage. Communicate with all levels of Phillips 66 business
management team to coordinate efforts of Environmental department, Survey, client relations, and
decisions related to purchase of specific tracts of land. Assist with identification of land to be used in
Phillips 66 Sweeny Fractionator One, Sweeny Brine Line, and Mont Belvieu Salt Dome / Storage
Caverns (Chambers, Brazoria, Jefferson, Harris Counties). Attend closing of purchases, meet with all
interested parties to discuss strategies and planning for pipeline and purchase of additional land.
Obtain Agreements with Landowners to further develop acquisition prospects, execute right of way
agreements, and to solve curative title matters. Project for Phillips 66 valued at more than $3 billion.

Performed title searches for thousands of acres of land. Comprehensive examination includes
search of rights-of-way and easements, mineral interests, restrictions, platting, and interpretation of
foregoing. Extensive curative work relating to easements and rights-of-way, heirship, oil and gas
leases, mineral interests, plat and survey issues. Performed title examinations from original land
Patent through present day. Maintained title plant dated current day back to Patent; card plant,
volume/book plant and abstract plant. Manage the business of title insurance, supervise staff of up to
4 people and handled customer service. The title company was created by my Grandfather, and I
was raised in the title company. I was also have extensive courthouse knowledge because I am the

Word to serve as Bosque County Judge and I spent many years at the courthouse with my father.
I began working at the courthouse doing “takeoffs” (handwriting information from the Volumes to
paper to be typed later onto index cards), thereby building and maintaining the title plant. I have
handled all facets of title from the time I was 14 years old and have done everything from examine
title to perform closings.
