• Accredited Management Teacher – certified by All India Management Association (AIMA)-Centre for
Management Services.
• 37 years of extensive experience in the field of energy in India and Abroad.
• Seven years of teaching experience in the field of Energy and Human Resource management in Thapar
University.

• Held several managerial and engineering positions during career tenure and acquired multifunctional
expertise in the field of energy to lead a large electricity board catering to the power needs of the state.
• Steered several functional domains including, power generation, transmission, distribution, power plant
operation and maintenance, project management, procurement/ vendor development, HRD, Design
engineering & financial Management.
• Mapping training needs of the organization and designing training curriculum/ schedule customized to
the needs of the participants.
• Conducted training sessions for officers and delivered lectures on wide range of management &
engineering topics.
• Generated awareness among employees on computers, soft skills and health management.
Overseas Assignments:
• Deputed to Libya for 7 years from Oct. 1982 to Oct. 1989 to work with Govt. of Libya in Tripoli West
Power Station, as Asstt. Shift Charge Engineer. Practically held overall charge of running the entire
power plant of Tripoli West Power Station which consisted of 5*65 Mw oil fired Thermal Power Station
and two desalination plants of 400 tons/day capacity. By their law only local Libyan could be posted as
Head and a local Libyan Engineer was a nominal head of the shift. Acquired real hands-on experience of
running a power plant during this period.
• Gained invaluable experience to work with people of different nationalities like Libya, U.K. France,
Tunisia, and Yugoslavia etc. Acquired adaptability to multicultural environments and developed strong
ability to resolve issues with people from different nationalities and cultural backgrounds.
