A group of thirteen Virginia Tech students designed and built a little league park in Clifton Forge, VA through the student-run designbuild/LAB in 2014-2015. The project won a Blue Ridge AIA award in 2016. The students also participated in mission trips to Mobile, Alabama from 2013-2016 and mentored children in Oak Forest trailer park from 2015-2017. Additionally, the student completed an internship at Wendel Companies in Alexandria in Summer 2016 and worked at a family hardware store, Parker Tie Co. in West Jefferson from 2012-2017.

A student run lab that designed and built a little league park for Clifton Forge

growth, construction labor and design work were donated by a group of thir-

Mobile Alabama Mission Trips, 2013-2016
Mission trips with Ambassadors for Christ. Duties include orchestrating chil-
dren’s plays, transportation, leading bible classes, landscaping, and building

A mission to mentor at children in Oak Forest trailer park. Duties include men-
toring at least three times per week. During these times we provide tutoring

An internship at the company’s Alexandria firm. Tasks included project budget-

A family owned hardware store. Besides sales, duties have included design-
ing kitchen layouts, training sales people, and managing the Facebook page.
