This research paper will explore the representation of violence in the film The Warriors and its videogame adaptation through textual analysis and questionnaires. The paper will compare the violence portrayed in the 1979 feature film and 2005 videogame, reviewing related studies and literature on both media. Secondary sources will also be examined regarding media effects and violence on screen as well as interactivity in reception.

3. Primary Research Material The main material I will be focussing on will be both The Warriors feature film and videogame spin off. I will aim to identify the use of violence in the feature film The Warriors(1979) and compare and contrast them with the violence in the videogame spin off The Warriors(2005)
