was founded in 2009 in Nazareth, Israel and develops
and markets innovative medications for chronic and hard-
to-heal skin wounds. The active ingredient of the company’s
lead product candidate and pipeline products is the potent
anti-anemic drug, erythropoietin (EPO). The clinical indications
for using Remedor’s medications, some of which are in late
development stages or are currently being evaluated in clinical
trials, include chronic diabetic foot ulcers, pressure ulcers, and
burns.

iabetes mellitus (DM) currently

and has become an escalating
global epidemic. In 2014, the US Centers
for Disease Control and Prevention
projected that one-third of all American
adults could have DM by 2050 if current
trends continue. Each year, approximately
5% of patients with DM
develop foot ulcers and
1% of these patients will
require limb amputation
because no effective
treatments for these ulcers
are currently available.
In 2014, the global wound
care product market was
worth $US14 billion, and its
worth is forecast to double
by 2025. The wound care
products that are currently available
principally comprise dressings which
protect the wound, and to a less extent
technologies, such as bioengineered
skin substitutes and wound care
devices, whose function is to provide
an optimum healing environment.
The indicated current wound care
products and modalities for chronic
wounds are expensive and have limited
safety and efficacy. Currently no single
approved drug to stimulate the healing of
chronic diabetic wounds exists. Remedor
has developed a safe, effective and
inexpensive drug-based EPO-containing
topical hydrogel for this purpose.
Remedor has tested this
topical drug in laboratory
animals and in a first-in-
man clinical trial and the
safety and efficacy of this
drug is being investigated
in a multicenter clinical
trial.

ounds with significant skin
loss in animals are a common
emergency and their healing
takes a long time, and is often associated
with high costs. Since complete closure
is not achieved in many cases, effective
solutions are required not only for
the injured animals, but also for their
caregivers and attending veterinarians.
Currently, there are no effective
wound treatments for animals, and
especially for horses. The veterinary
wound care market is immense and
is receiving considerable attention
by animal caregivers and owners.

5. Wound Healing- By creating a new
concept for wound treatment through
the use of innovative and unique
-products, Remedor intends to establish
its product’s position in the wound care
market. Remedor is planning to launch
its first medication, RemeVet Gel, into the
animal wound care market soon.
Bone Regeneration- Remedor ’s
intellectual properties include drug-
based solutions for bone healing, such
as the stimulation and acceleration of
healing of non-union bone fractures and
dental implants.
Autologous fat grafting- Sebana Medical,
a Remedor company, has developed
a unique technology to promote
autologous fat grafting for esthetic
procedures such as breast augmentation,
body sculpting and the filling of facial
wrinkles.
Sebana Medical anticipates that this
technology will revolutionize autologous
fat grafting in the aesthetic and
reconstructive surgery in which the use
of injectable fillers is currently worth $US3
billion. Sebana Medical will start clinical
trials soon.
