2. Exodus 34:29-35
When Moses came down Mount Sinai carrying
the two stone tablets inscribed with the terms
of the covenant, he wasn’t aware that his face
had become radiant because he had spoken to
the LORD. So when Aaron and the people of
Israel saw the radiance of Moses’ face, they
were afraid to come near… (35) So he would
put the veil over his face until he returned to
speak with the LORD.
3. 2 Corinthians 3:16-18
But whenever someone turns to the Lord,
the veil is taken away. For the Lord is the Spirit,
and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is
freedom. So all of us who have had that veil
removed can see and reflect the glory of the
Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes
us more and more like him as we are changed
into his glorious image.
4. Galatians 5:22-23
But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of
fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace,
patience, kindness, goodness,
faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
There is no law against these things!
5. Ephesians 4:30
And do not bring sorrow to God's Holy
Spirit by the way you live. Remember, he
has identified you as his own,
guaranteeing that you will be saved on the
day of redemption.
Sin hinders the work of
the Holy Spirit
6. Hebrews 12:1-2
Let us throw off everything that hinders
and the sin that so easily entangles. And
let us run with perseverance the race
marked out for us, fixing our eyes on
Jesus, the pioneer and perfector of faith.
Pursuing fulfilment in other things
hinders the work of the Holy Spirit
