The member of the public expressed fear over potential terrorist attacks at Sentosa after hearing reports it may be a target. They were worried about losing family and friends who visit Sentosa and other Singaporeans losing their lives. The member hoped the government would increase security at public areas like Sentosa by having more police patrols to catch suspicious people and warn the public about unattended belongings. They also wanted better airport security screening to prevent suspected terrorists from entering Singapore and restrictions on chemicals that could be used to make bombs. However, the member didn't want religious or racial prejudice against Muslims.

After hearing that Sentosa might be a target for terrorist attacks, I was very scared. I am
afraid that I might lose my family and friends who visit Sentosa. I also fear for all the fellow
Singaporeans who might lose their lives at Sentosa. I would warn my family and friends to
not visit Sentosa.
I hope that the government would pay more attention on security of those public sightseeing
areas. The police should patrol around Sentosa and catch those suspected people. The
government should also warn the people to be aware of suspected people who left their
belongings in public area. Members of the public should also be educated to not gather
together in large groups to be seen as an attraction for terrorist attacks.
I hope that the government would also pay more attention to Airport Security to prevent
suspected terrorists from coming into Singapore by scanning and making sure that none of
the people carry bombs. The government should also restrict the sale of chemical materials
such as Ammonium nitrate or Nitroglycerine. Hence the terrorists will have no resources to
making bomb.
However, I hope that Singapore would still maintain its religious and racial harmony and not
show prejudice to the Muslim society, although most terrorists are Muslims.
