Key duties/responsibilities for quality controller 
1. Monitor the monthly close of the company books including, verifying 
account reconciliations have been prepared and balances represent valid 
assets or liabilities of the company 
2. Review and analyze subsidiary books and financial statements. 
3. Verify financial statement results are reasonable, identify variances and 
obtain explanations. 
4. Maintain and monitor Key Performance Indicators for the Accounting 
Department. 
5. Prepare, review and monitor results against the budget with the Controller. 
6. Identify areas needing improvement in financial accounting applications 
and operational procedures. 
7. Assist the Controller in developing, updating and maintaining company 
accounting policies and procedures. 
8. Assist the Controller and management with due diligence and analysis of 
potential acquisitions and on-boarding acquisitions including setting them 
up on the Company’s ERP system, and training. 
9. Coordinate the annual audit with the Company’s Big Four Firm.
Key job qualifications for quality controller 
1. Bachelor’s Degree 
2. 12+ years of related underwriting experience 
3. Frontline origination underwriting & quality control experience is required 
4. Experience managing others and providing constructive feedback & 
training 
5. Strong written and verbal communication skills

7. Experience with repurchase response and/or rebuttal review and response 
preparation 
8. Knowledge of secondary market deal documents, in particular
