The target audience for the media project is 14-20 year olds from working and middle class backgrounds with a strong interest in hip hop and R&B music. The magazine will be called "EDGE" and will have content focused mainly on male artists but will appeal to both male and female readers. The goal is to attract teenagers aged 14-18 and inspire them to develop an interest in art and creativity through profiles of hip hop stars.

audience for your
media project?

2. The audience for my media product would be aged around 14-20 years who
would come from a come a working class/middle class background. They
would have high knowledge in Hip-Hop and RnB. My audience won’t be from
a specific ethnicity however they’re really passionate about Hip-Hop and
genuine quality music.
My audience are the type of people who have deep interests in fashion that
relates to Hip-Hop and are highly influenced by Hip-Hop. ‘EDGE’ will have a
unisex audience however the content filled inside will be majority based
around male artist, nevertheless it doesn’t stop female readers from being
interested in the content of the magazine.

3. The importance of my magazine is for it to attract to the young audience, and
it’s designed specifically for a young audience especially teenagers from 14-18
years old. It gives the younger generation something to aspire to and an urge
to have an interest in art/creativity.
‘EDGE’ will play a big role in the reader’s lifestyle; it will have major effects. It
is not just a magazine they will just read and move on with their lives; they
will dress just like Hip-Hop stars, they’ll adapt the work of artists, aspire to be
just like them. They are creative youngsters who strive to be future stars.
