LINKS TO RASHIS, GRAHA, MAHADASHAS - VEDIC ASTROLOGY BY BARBARA PIJAN LAMAanthony writer
The document lists various useful links related to Vedic astrology concepts on the website of Barbara Pijan Lama, including pages on rashis (zodiac signs), grahas (planets), mahadashas (major planetary periods), and vimshottari dasha (120 year planetary cycle) interpretations. There are over 20 individual links provided to pages analyzing different astrological topics.
The document provides descriptions of the symbols used to represent each of the 27 Nakshatras or Vedic lunar mansions in the Nakshatra wheel. Each symbol is designed to convey the symbolic associations and energetic qualities of its corresponding Nakshatra based on traditional motifs and icons. Brief explanations are given for several of the symbols and how they relate to the themes and deities of the Nakshatras.
The Mauryan Empire was a geographically extensive Iron Age historical power based in Magadha and founded by Chandragupta Maurya which dominated South Asia between 322 BCE and 185 BCE. It was the largest empire of its time, extending from the Hindu Kush mountains in the west to the Brahmaputra River in the east and the Himalayas in the north to the peninsula of Southern India in the south. Chandragupta Maurya's conquests expanded the small kingdom of Magadha into an empire which under his successor Bindusara and grandson Ashoka, became the largest empire in ancient India.
CHITRA NAKSHATRA- THE STAR OF OPPORTRUNITY - THE RESIDENCE OF VISHVAKARMA, TH...anthony writer
In Hindu astronomy, Spica corresponds to the Nakshatra Chitra.Spica is believed to be the star that provided Hipparchus with the data which enabled him to discover precession of the equinox.
A temple to Menat (anearly Hathor) at Thebes was oriented with reference to Spica when it wasconstructed in 3200 BC and, over time, precession resulted in a slow butnoticeable change in the location of Spica relative to the temple. NicolausCopernicus made many observations of Spica with his home-made triquetrum for his researches on precession. The name ''Spica'' derives from Latin ''spīcavirginis'' "Virgo's ear of grain"(usually wheat ).
Chitra Nakshatra a solitary star existing on the extraterrestrial firmament, represents and exemplifies the supreme craftsmanship by the planetary force of Mars, extending from the zodiac of Virgo to that of Libra. Tvastsar or Vishvakarma, the celestial architect or creation worker, an expert in illusory power through which he creates, transforms and fashions out new forms from the existing ones in a mysterious way. Like its symbol the Pearl which is formed out of nothing in the oyster, Chitra allows this fantasy of contemplation and reverie become a reality of the highest facet. It’s deity creates to make the men and women of light craft and handicraft to architects of meticulous excellence. Through the metamorphosis of the drudgery of materialistic cravings it transforms the souls of the ordinary men to glow, glitter and radiate the energy of supreme art of creation.
The document discusses the different types of hands according to the elements in chiromancy. It presents illustrations by Anthony Writer of hands representing the elements of fire, earth, air and water. The illustrations show how characteristics of the hands relate to the qualities of each classical element in palmistry.
Uttara Phalguni is the 12th nakshatra ruled by the Sun. It spans from 26°40' in Leo to 10°00' in Virgo. The deity is Aryaman, god of patronage and son of Aditi. Those born under this nakshatra seek colleagues and followers to help their generally noble causes. They are known as the "social worker nakshatra" and have skills in healing arts and counseling. Their power is attaining prosperity through marriage or union. Careers of interest include social work, writing, media, healing arts, and mathematics.

Lal Kitab Planetwise Items Updated (Dec 2009)Arun Yadav
This document contains a compilation of house wise items and their planetary associations according to the principles of astrology as described in the Lalkitab text. It includes over 200 items categorized by body parts, relatives, foods, metals, places, animals and more. Each item is associated with a specific planet based on its qualities and nature as described in the rules of astrology and Palmistry.
This thesis is dedicated to all men and women who have contributed to the
knowledge of astronomy and astrology with the noble aim of enlightening us
for a better life on this planet and for the progress and upliftment of civilization from the dawn of time to eternity.
Astrology deals with the observation and correlation of energy exchanging between the
planets of the solar system, the stars in the constellations and life here on Earth. There are astrological markings uncovered which have been found to date back as far as 3000 B.C. The Chaldeans (later known as the Babylonians) kept records which date back to 700 B.C.
Wise men of this period were known as astrologer priests and they were highly esteemed in
the community. Their knowledge was based on observations of the positions of stars and
planets which they used to cast horoscopes and natal charts for kings and rulers. The priests
of the Egyptian Pharaohs were instructed in astrology by the Babylonians for it was a part of
their religion. It is imperative for us to have a glimpse of the dawn of time and the original role that stars played in human lives just to understand the importance of fixed stars and constellations in astrology. Long before there were horoscopes, aspects, houses or signs, dedicated priest astrologers of virtually every civilization, observed and measured sky patterns. The first
picture book of man was the sky and man used to spend hours of the night observing the ever
moving heavenly spectacle. Mysterious risings, settings, and circling of the heavens were
weighed against mundane phenomena of earth, sea and mankind. The ancient wisdom recorded by earliest scribes, known only to these most learned priests of the earliest civilizations has come into our hands.

Kp approach to elections by rajendra nimjeRajendra Nimje
This document discusses various astrological techniques for predicting election outcomes:
1) Horary charts or KP number charts are best for predicting a single candidate's chances, as they provide a clear focus on the question.
2) Natal charts are less useful as they don't distinguish between candidates.
3) The document provides steps for evaluating candidates and opponents using house and sublord placements.
4) It also addresses techniques for relatives/supporters asking about candidates, and comparing multiple probable candidates.
5) Options theory is recommended for questions about vote counts or seat projections rather than a single winner.

A powerful Rajyoga is formed if a planet is aspecting the janma lagna, Hora lagna and Ghatika lagna whereby the native gets power and wealth, and he is respected like a King. In the same way, Rajoyoga is formed if a planet is aspecting the same spot in Rashi Kundali, Navmas Kundali, Drekkana Kundali, Lagna Kundali and Saptamash Kundali. The presence of these karak elements is necessary for auspicious results. If a Karak element is absent, maximum results cannot be obtained.

THE SIGNIFICANCE OF KARAKAS IN JAIMINI ASTROLOGYanthony writer
Pandit Sanjay Rath considers 8 karakas, including Rahu. According to him, in his Jaimini Upadesa Sutras, he has given Rahu also a place as Atma Karak.
2. On the other hand, Dr. K.N. Rao and his followers have taken the 7 planets (excluding Rahu) as Karakas and maintain that Rahu cannot be given the status of Atma Karak.
3 Gary Gomes states in “The Structure of Jamini Astrology” as follows:
“These karakas are of extreme importance in judging a chart, especially in terms of career potential and, especially, for judging spiritual potential, as indicated in both the Brihat Parasara Hora Sastra and the Jaimini Sutram. There are karakas in Parasara astrology, but these are based on certain natural karakas of the planets.
- In Vedic astrology the Planetary dispositor is also known as the Poshaka, meaning the "Nourisher", because it tends to aid the occupant of its sign or house.
- Dispositor is the planet who is the lord of the sign. For instance, if Mars is in Cancer, Cancer is owned by the Moon and hence Moon becomes the dispositor of Mars.
- The dispositor governs the planet that happens to occupy its sign.
- The dispositors give results of the planets which occupy their signs or navamsas. Hence dispositors are of two types: a) rasi dispositors b) navamsa dispositors.
