Prov 30:26 The conies are but
a feeble folk, yet make they
their houses in the rocks;
(TLB) 26 Cliff badgers:
delicate little animals who
protect themselves by
living among the rocks.
Live wisely,
using whatever
ability God has
given you.
3
God didn’t give the conies
strength or armor, but He
made their home among
the rocks where they
would be safe from
predators.
They can hide.
4
27 The locusts have no
king, yet go they forth all
of them by bands;
Locusts have no apparent leader (king) but fly in an
amazing order and can devastate miles of crops
like an approaching army
The Bible Knowledge Commentary: An Exposition of the Scriptures by Dallas Seminary Faculty.
5
God gave locusts the instinct to find crops for food.
They can’t fight.
Yet they conquer
6
28 The spider taketh hold with her hands, and is in
kings' palaces.
A spider can build a
home anywhere.
Small, seemingly insignificant animals and people
can accomplish much using God’s gifts.
7
29 There be three things which go well, yea, four
are comely in going: 30 A lion which is strongest
among beasts, and turneth not away for any; 31 A
greyhound; an he goat also; and a king, against
whom there is no rising up.
We talked about small, weak, and insignificant
things that accomplish much.
Now we see the other side.
Strong, fast, powerful, beautiful – who also
accomplish much.

30 A lion which is strongest among
beasts, and turneth not away for any;
Proverbs 28 1 The wicked flee when
no man pursueth: but the righteous
are bold as a lion.
9
31 A greyhound;
31b an he goat also;
10
31c and a king, against
whom there is no rising up.
Noble
11
32 If thou hast done foolishly in lifting up thyself, or
if thou hast thought evil, lay thine hand upon thy
mouth.
There’s nothing to brag about in being wicked.
Put it behind you.
12
33 Surely the churning of milk bringeth forth butter,
and the wringing of the nose bringeth forth blood:
so the forcing of wrath bringeth forth strife.
Don’t stir up anger in yourself or in others.
Hebrews 12:14 (NIV) Make every effort to live in
peace with all men and to be holy; without holiness
no one will see the Lord.
Romans 12:18 (NIV) If it is possible, as far as it
depends on you, live at peace with everyone.
