The Carpathian Mountains are the second longest mountain range in Europe spanning 1,500 km through several countries including Slovakia, Poland, Ukraine and Romania which contains over 50% of the Carpathians. Although not as tall as the Himalayas, the Carpathian Mountains are home to wolves, bears, lynx and contain the tallest peaks of up to 2,061 meters including Petros, Brebeneskul and Hoverla mountains.
