This document summarizes the learning and improvements from a preliminary film task to the final production. It discusses developing steady camera shots through practice. It highlights planning shots, framing, costumes, and editing to portray meaning and tension. Sound was used to add tension and meaning, adjusted based on dialogue and title. Actors' positions and movements showed agitation and youthfulness. Planning improved with equipment needs and actors scheduled ahead of time. The group worked cooperatively though one member was unreliable due to health issues. The provided camera lacked quality with poor focus, definition and sound pickup.

Quality Summary 7. Looking back to your preliminary task, what do
you feel that you have learnt in the progression from
it to the full product?
Quality of holding a shot From the preliminary task we struggled with issues on
steady how to get steady moving shot. So for the final
production of our presentation to get the angle
shots steady we decided to practice moving the
camera on the tripod to get a better notion of the
shot. This can be shown in the clip where the
camera follows the young females jogging and the
frame of the shot behind the trees. This in return
gave us a steady shot of the performance.
Quality of the framing shots In the preliminary task we only used three standard
framing shots so we set goals to achieve for our final
presentation of our coursework. The following goals
we achieved were drawing out a storyboard, which
allocated frame shots to scenes. This can be shown
through consistency of the shots.
We also had allocated one slot for the ‘camera
man’ so they would be able to research different
frame shots that would signify what we the opening
scene with the tracking of the running was trying to
portray.
Quality of shooting The film was close to the synopsis of the story and
material appropriate to the script with a few subtle changes.
