This document summarizes nutrition data from Cameroon. It finds high rates of malnutrition across the country, with the highest rates in the Extreme North region. Over 30% of children under 5 are stunted according to WHO standards. Exclusive breastfeeding rates are also low at only 20%. While interventions like vitamin A supplementation have over 90% coverage, other essential interventions reach much smaller portions of the target population. Anemia and malnutrition are widespread problems that contribute to Cameroon's high child and maternal mortality rates.
