It is act of medical man which is regarded as disgraceful
or dishonourable in terms of his profession. Doctor does
not follow ethical standard towards patient.
It is also called as ethical negligence or infamous conduct
Salient features-
1. No punishment by IPC or any other existing civil or criminal
law, yet MCI/ SMC can take action by removing name of doctor
from medical register[penal erasure/ professional death
sentence- if permanent removal]
