Pro Birth Control
In today’s society birth control is used on a daily bases by both the male and female.
Historically the only type of male contraceptive know of was the condom. Within in the last two
decades, several new forms of contraceptives have been created, bringing a whole new evolution
to birth control for both male and female. That means the days of having only one or two types
of contraceptives for both genders is over. The current goals of contraception are to have
accessible alternative techniques to avoid birth and sexually transmitted diseases (Rodin, 2010).
Due to the earlier years of scientific discovery sexually transmitted infections and birth control,
the ability of birth control has increased. Recently Science created a birth control pill for men.
This pill is designed to temporally stimulate a biological blockage of the operational vasectomy
of the male parts. There are also other types of birth controls that can be utilized by both man and
the woman. These mechanisms are developed to prevent the passage of bodily fluids from person
to person, thus meaning they are neither surgical nor biological forms. Some of these are
diaphragm or vaginal sponge these forms of birth control create protection for the woman’s
reproductive system stopping the male’s body fluid from adhering to the female’s eggs. However
they are not capable of stopping other bodily fluids such as blood and semen from passing into
the woman’s blood supply that are able to cause sexually transmitted infections which affect both
male and female. The condom is the most successful and powerful contraceptives proven to be
the best prevention of sexually transmitted infections and birth control are the condom. With all
that being said it is still my belief that abstinence is the only form of contraceptive that is without
a doubt 100% effective. A vast majority of sexually active partners are those that are rebellious,
independent actions and sad to say but young, therefore protection is a necessity to prevent
pregnancy.
