Project Malawi Luton aims to empower communities in Malawi to lift themselves out of poverty within a generation. As the 3rd poorest country with high mortality and malnutrition rates, Malawi faces major threats. The project develops sustainable initiatives like fish farming, irrigation, and reforestation. It shares skills in areas like medicine, education, and infrastructure building. In 2010, the project visited many villages, conducted needs analyses, and invested in sustainable water projects that increased crop yields and provided clean water and food. In 2011, the goal is to set up a mobile clinic and educate communities to prevent illness.

The document discusses how plummeting natural gas prices in the United States are impacting the chemical industry. Shale gas production has led to a 40% drop in natural gas prices, making light hydrocarbon feeds more economical for steam cracking than naphtha. This is resulting in an oversupply of ethylene and undersupply of butadiene and other C4/C5 chemicals. Several companies are investing in new ethylene plants along the Gulf Coast to take advantage of low feedstock costs. Biochemical companies are exploring using natural gas rather than biomass as a feedstock. Tire companies are also developing bio-based alternatives to petroleum-derived isoprene and butadiene.

The document provides an introduction to Windows 8 and Metro style apps. It discusses that Metro style apps are designed for touch input and require a screen resolution of at least 1024x768. It also lists some key points for developing Metro style apps such as eliminating failures, using supported APIs, and optimizing launch time and suspend performance. The document further explains the architecture of Metro style apps, comparing their models to desktop apps in terms of views, controllers, and system services. It ends by providing some links for additional resources on developing Metro style apps.
The document summarizes the results of a trial garden in 2010 that grew various Bonnie plant varieties in containers. It documents the yield of different plants in terms of number and weight of fruits harvested. The best producing tomato was Yellow Cherry which had the highest quantity harvested at 6,142, but Goliath Hybrid had the highest poundage at 491 lbs. Tabasco pepper had the highest quantity at 3,400, while Hot Banana had the highest poundage at 63 lbs. Over 80,000 items were harvested totaling over 13,000 lbs donated to local charities.
The document discusses the linguistic issue in Ireland through four main sections. It first provides background on the Celtic languages and their history in Ireland. It then discusses the introduction and spread of English in Ireland from the 12th century onward. The third section examines nationalism, language, and identity in Ireland. Finally, it outlines language planning efforts by the Irish government in the 20th century focused on education, Gaelic-speaking regions, and public services to promote the Irish language.

1. Zastosowanie modelu partnerstwa publiczno-prywatnego w kolejowych projektach infrastrukturalnych w wybranych krajach UE Robert Frey, Magdalena Cholewa Łódź, 30-03-2011
2. Plan prezentacji Wyzwania w obszarze transportu kolejowego w Unii Europejskiej W jaki sposób finansować inwestycje w infrastrukturę kolejową Czy model PPP sprawdza się w kryzysie Podsumowanie
Element PPP (wart 290 mln EURO) obejmuje finansowanie, projektowanie i budowę 1,1 km podziemnego połączenia pomiędzy lotniskiem w Brukseli a trójstronnym połączeniem z nową linią Schaerbeek – Mechelen.
14. Liefkenshoek- finansowanie Zawarto umowę o wartości 690 mln EURO pomiędzy konsorcjum budowlanym, Europejskim Bankiem Inwestycyjnym i konsorcjum 6 innych banków. Wkład flamandzkiego samorządu regionalnego wynosi 107 mln EURO, natomiast Infrabel sfinansuje pozostałe 75 mln EURO. Przedmiotem umowy jest projekt, budowa i utrzymanie linii.
15. Infrabel - Nagrody Projekty Infrabel były dwukrotnie nagradzane w 2008 i w 2009 roku. W styczniu 2009 r. projekt Infrabel „Liefkenjoek” otrzymał nagrodę „Infrastructure Deal of theYear 2008” przyznawaną przez brytyjski magazyn PFI. „Diabolo” otrzymał tę samą nagrodę w roku 2010.
W celu koordynacji budowy sieci szybkich połączeń, powołano spółkę RAVE (Rede de FerroviariaAltaVelocidade S.A.). RAVE podzieliło zamówienia na budowę linii na 6 odrębnych PPP. Pięć z PPP to poszczególne sekcje infrastruktury, szóste to projekt sygnalizacyjny i telekomunikacyjny pokrywający całą sieć.
18. Kryzys Opisywane projekty PPP zostały ogłoszone jeszcze przed nastaniem kryzysu finansowego. Pierwszy projekt PPP z Poceirão do Caia o wartości 1,34 mld EURO osiągnął jednakże finansowe zamknięcie.
22. Projekt PPP w II RP (I) Magistrala węglowa została wybudowana w latach 1925-1933 w celu aktywizacji eksportu produktów górnośląskich, głównie węgla. Wobec trudności finansowych, związanych m.in. z wielkim kryzysem, w 1931 roku budowę przejęło Francusko-Polskie Towarzystwo Kolejowe S.A. w Paryżu.
