Rancho Cucamonga High School will host nearly 300 veterans on May 1st for its 6th annual "Rancho Remembers" event to honor them for their military service. Veterans from WWII, Korea, Vietnam and the Gulf War will share their combat and military experiences in small group sessions with students. The event allows students to directly thank those who have served the country in times of conflict. Distinguished guests will include over 80 WWII veterans, such as an African American soldier from a segregated unit at Midway and a Vietnam veteran who was imprisoned for 5 years in the "Hanoi Hilton".
