The religion in ancient Crete was matriarchal and centered around worshipping female goddesses. Symbols like the bull and snake were important religious icons. Religious rituals likely took place in caves and mountain sanctuaries, involving dancing, praying, and animal or possible human sacrifices to a mother goddess figure. Minoan religious practices were led by priests and involved formal clothing and ritual prayer poses, but much of their specific beliefs and mythology are unknown since no written texts have survived from ancient Crete.
Selenium and Joomla! open Source SECONF-2014Puneet Kala
Presentation of my Talk during Selenium World Conference 2014 Bangalore, India.
I spoke about how we started using Selenium in an open source project like Joomla! and what are the important lessons we have learnt during the journey.
This is a presentation I made on Mayan Religion. This one goes out to all the CBSE class XII students who are suffering. I nearly killed myself making this ppt along with a project file, and I really don't want anyone else going through the pain. Who in gods name asks 16 year old's to make a ruddy 50 paged project on a dead religion? That too without the use of wikipedia? If any one is in need of the entire 42 paged project file on Mayan religion, please email me and i'll send it to you.

2. Religion in Crete Religion in Crete Religion in Crete Religion in Crete Religion in Crete Religion in Crete religion in Crete The religion in Crete was Matriarchal which means it was all female. All the goddesses were female and most of the priests were female. We don’t much know about their religion because there are no books, scripts, or any writings still intact. The only reason we know about their religion is because of the relics and paintings left behind.
3. Religion However, we do know that the people of Crete worshiped symbols. Examples of these symbols include a crescent axe, the bull and snake.
6. Becoming more spiritual They would have religious celebrations and rituals in caves, and on top of mountains in sanctuaries. Here they would dance, and pray, and sacrifice animals, and some even believe humans for a female nature goddess that they worshipped. They would do this to become more spiritual.
7. worship Minoan worship was led by a priest. The highest priest was usually a member of the royal family, and would dress in very formal clothing made with animal skin. Some prayer poses was standing straight with their fists on their foreheads or chests, or with their arms held high, extended to the side or folded.
