town in Rajasthan, India where it is mined. Artists have always sought
out makrana marble because of its pure white color and its

Ganesh standing with 4 arms holding a noose, an axe, his broken tusk that

Description : The muscular form of Shiva is calmly mediating on a tiger
skin. Both his arms are resting in his lap in the dhayna mudra. He wears
only a loin cloth with a necklace of rudraksha beads and snake coiled
around his broad chest. The snake symbolizes the power Shiva has over
the most deadly of creatures. Snakes are also used to symbolize the
Hindu dogma of reincarnation. Their natural process of molting or shedding
their skin is symbolic of the human souls transmigration of bodies from one
life to another.
His long hair is tucked up on a bun on top of his head and continues to flow
down his back. There is a crescent moon tucked into it. He holds a
dhamru or drum and a trident in his other two hands. The stone is pure

White Marble Earth Touching Buddha
Description: The Buddha sits peacefully on a double lotus base in the
Bhumisparsha Mudra. Literally Bhumisparsha translates into 'touching the
earth'. It is more commonly known as the 'earth witness' mudra. This
mudra, formed with all five fingers of the right hand extended to touch the
ground, symbolizes the Buddha's enlightenment under the bodhi tree,
when he summoned the earth goddess, Sthavara, to bear witness to his
attainment of enlightenment. The right hand, placed upon the right knee in
earth-pressing mudra, and complemented by the left hand-which is held flat
in the lap in the dhyana mudra of meditation, symbolizes the union of
method and wisdom, samasara and nirvana, and also the realizations of
the conventional and ultimate truths. It is in this posture that Shakyamuni
overcame the obstructions of Mara while meditating on Truth.
