1. Which classification socks are
appropriate for yarn count 32/2 ply??
Answer:
We can use count 32/2 on any
computerized sock.
2. What advantage can we prefer to have
by 32/2 ply?
Answer:
- 32/2 count itself is very heavy and it is
generally used to ensure HIGHER abrasion
resistance & long durability.
- Most retailers in Europe do not use 32/2
as it increases the cost of yarn, instead they
use a higher TPM (twist per multiplier)
yarn on 20/1 to get a similar abrasion
result.
 Questionnaire
3. What should be minimum stretch
measurement for cuff opening?
Answer:
Other customers follow below standard;
a) For children,
stretch mmt s/b: 18-19 cm
b) For Ladies & Men’s,
Stretch mmt s/b: 20-21 cm
Note: We need advise what stretches are
essential for Sweden.
 Questionnaire
4. For more elasticity or soft/loose knitting
what will affect if we change yarn count?
Answer:
- Changing yarn will not give any result
but using different needle machine can
make socks loose knitted.
Please noted socks will look a bit wider
then!
5. For more tight or for more loose what
does it depend actually??
Answer:
- the steaming helps the socks to be more
softer, stretchy.
- It would also improve the shape.
 Questionnaire
6. How to improve cuff opening
tighter but softer elasticity with good
recovery??
Answer:
- Generally 70/90D Elastic is used on
cuff for maximum customers.
- But changing yield (density) of
spandex elasticity can be improved.
- It can also be improved by steaming
the socks properly.

Plain & Terry Socks construction
- The difference
between plain &
terry socks is
absent of loop at
the end.
- Plain socks having
joint in every loop
& cannot open or
come out.
- On the other hand
terry socks having
open end after
knitting.
