Definition: A present continious tense
a.k.a the present progressive tense is
used to describe actions that are
currently happening now, around the
current time or temporarily occuring
situations or actions that will continue
into the future.
Introduction
Present continuous tenses have 3 different structures:
These are positive [reaffirming that the subject is
currently performing a specific action] , negative
[Reaffirming that the subject is not currently
performing a specific action] and interrogative [A
question pertaining to weather or not the subject is
performing a specific action].
Structure
• I am working
• They are playing
• He is reading
• We are cleaning

• She isn't going
• We aren't presenting

HOW TO
USE
1. Actions happening now (at the moment of speaking)
👉 Example: She is reading a book now.
2. Actions happening around now (not necessarily at this moment)
👉 Example: I am studying for my exams this week.
3. Planned future actions
👉 Example: We are going to the zoo tomorrow.
4. Changing or developing situations
👉 Example: The weather is getting colder.
