Enquête auprès des étudiants de l'École hôtelière Lausanne sur les besoins d'information, les stratégies de recherche, l'usage des espaces de travail (printemps 2010)
The document proposes a new multithreaded execution model and multi-ring architecture to exploit instruction-level parallelism. The model uses multiple instruction threads that are scheduled for execution based on data availability. The instructions from different threads are grouped together for parallel execution. The proposed multi-ring architecture features large resident thread activations, a high-speed buffer to avoid load/store stalls, and a dynamic instruction scheduler that selects instructions from multiple threads each cycle for execution on multiple pipelines. Initial simulation results show the architecture can achieve parallel execution of 7 instructions per cycle.

The document provides instructions for using the LexisNexis database available through the Evans Library website. It outlines how to access LexisNexis after selecting the Databases tab and searching for LexisNexis. Once in LexisNexis, the document describes how to search for court cases by citation, parties, topic, or attorneys. It also explains how to Shepardize a case using either the case citation or the US Federal & State Cases option.
Rakip Bebo provides a macroeconomic forecast for the US economy in 2015. Based on analysis from multiple sources, Bebo predicts that GDP growth will be 3% in Q3 and 2.8% in Q4 of 2015. Unemployment is expected to drop to 5.3% in both quarters. While the economy is improving, productivity and labor force participation remain sluggish. Underemployment, especially among young college graduates, also poses a problem. Wage growth has been slow to recover despite falling unemployment, restraining consumer spending and full economic capacity.
This document summarizes a Major Project module for a Construction and Civil Engineering degree. The module has three parts: (1) an individual proposal and research project, (2) a group project simulating a real-life civil engineering project, and (3) examining research methods. Students will develop independent work and problem-solving skills, apply research to real-world situations, and improve presentation and communication abilities. Assessment is entirely through coursework including proposals, reports, presentations, and project management.
