Eco Roof and Solar - Commercial Roofing Brochure 2016Jimmy Read
Pride is a feeling of deep satisfaction from one's own achievements and those of one's company. Eco Roof and Solar hires competent salespeople, runs professionally, and is dedicated to Colorado's market. The company has been a pleasure to work with for 8 years as it continues growing each year.
Solar thermal energy uses sunlight to heat water or buildings by capturing solar energy with solar collectors. Catch Solar Energy produces glass solar collectors that have several advantages over other materials, including architectural integration, lower investment and maintenance costs, easier installation, and being more environmentally friendly. Their award-winning collectors use water as the cooling medium and have corrosion resistance, high absorption, and no need for glycol.
This document discusses EJOT's fastening solutions for solar installations on various building types. It describes their Solar Fastening System for attaching solar panels to pitched roofs made of materials like steel, wood, and asphalt shingles. For industrial flat roofs, it recommends using their flat roof support and Solar Fastener FD together to absorb wind and shear forces. It also introduces their EJObar system for attaching equipment to single-ply membranes and their Solar i-Clip for universal attachment to residential roofs of various materials.
This 3 line poem describes how sand and dust rise and are carried away from the land like blood from a heart, with the land seen as bleeding out. While reminding of this loss, the bleeding of the land is also seen as a blessing, and the speaker feels called to help stem the bleeding of the land.
All Energy 2019 Microgrids as a Service 23rd October 2019Shaun Scallan
The document discusses Microgrids as a Service (MaaS) which aims to unlock new value streams by normalizing microgrids and allowing distributed energy resources like solar and batteries to provide services to commercial customers, distribution network service providers, and the wholesale market in order to reduce energy costs and defer network investments while improving power reliability. It outlines the potential value stack and services microgrids can provide, as well as lessons learned and the future potential for microgrids to play a larger role in the energy system through regulatory and policy changes that promote their integration and value realization.

Voltage Control to allow higher solar penetration on the LV network and Microgrids as a Service (MaaS) Interview prior to All Energy 2019 session on "Microgrids: The new normal?" presentation on 23rd october 2019
1) In the future, energy dilemmas will be solved at a local level through the coordination of micro, nano, and potentially pico-grids.
2) Demand response programs have the potential to help balance energy supply and demand if all grid-connected assets, including the nearly 8GW of invisible rooftop solar, are made visible and dispatchable.
3) The author believes that a future with distributed energy resources orchestrated at a local level through micro, nano, and pico-grids could provide a stable, reliable, and affordable energy supply shared by all contributors.

All Energy 2018 - Onsite or Offsite - Microgrids versus Corporate PPA's Shaun Scallan
Onsite or Offsite - Microgrids versus Offsite PPA's
The emerging corporate fashion, in Australia, for purchasing large licks of energy in the last year has been the Offsite Corporate PPA. This follows a well established trend in the US and Europe, which we seem to be catching up with. However, we should ask what is the best way to achieve and overall energy solution that enables both long term energy savings and aids the transition to the future grid in Australia. Onsite or Offsite?
NSW Environment Minister Launches Australian Recycling Label to Remove ConfusionShaun Scallan
Minister Mark Speakman launched a new Australian Recycling Label to standardize recycling instructions and reduce confusion. There are currently almost 300 different recycling labels used. Planet Ark research found 99% of people surveyed were confused about recycling at least one common item. The new label clearly shows which components of packaging can be recycled, put in general waste, or may depend on the local council through simple illustrations and symbols. It is hoped the standardized label will simplify decisions about waste disposal and recycling.
Packaging Recyclability Evaluation Portal is a finalist in the 2015 Banksia Awards. PREP assists packaging designers to create more sustainable packaging.
It was an honour for the PREP Team at Planet Ark and GreenChip to get this recognition.
This document discusses how smart batteries can save money through cleaner energy and lower costs. It mentions past usage, billing, tariffs, weather forecasts, software, hardware, and artificial intelligence as factors in determining savings. The document promotes a company called Planet Ark Power that offers smart batteries and savings.
Australian Paper's 2011 sustainability report provides an overview of the company's performance for the year. It discusses challenges faced due to Australia's strong currency, but notes steps taken to strengthen the business through sustainability. The report outlines the company's operations, including manufacturing locations and brands. It also summarizes engagement with stakeholders on fibre sourcing and the future fibre strategy.
Australian Paper 2010 Sustainability ReportShaun Scallan
This document summarizes Australian Paper's 2010 sustainability report. It discusses the company's efforts to minimize environmental impacts and deliver positive economic and social contributions. Key points include:
- Australian Paper completed a $600 million mill upgrade in 2008 that significantly improved energy and water efficiency while reducing emissions and hazards.
- The report aims to provide a transparent overview of the company's environmental, social, and economic performance using the Global Reporting Initiative framework.
- It covers Australian Paper's performance in 2010 and represents their first report aligned with the GRI framework at the Level C reporting requirements.
Australian Recycling Label Flyer - Right Label Right BinShaun Scallan
The new Australian Recycling Label has been designed to give consumers simple, evidence based instructions on the recycling of packaging. This is aimed at reducing consumer confusion and improving recycling rates wile decreasing contamination of recycling streams, which costs us all money.
This document provides information about a 2-year Master of Renewable Energy program offered at Murdoch University. The program consists of a 1-year Professional Graduate Diploma in Energy Studies followed by a 1-year Master's Degree in Renewable Energy. The program equips students with advanced interdisciplinary skills to design, optimize, and evaluate the technical, social, and economic viability of renewable energy schemes. Graduates receive a globally recognized degree and gain broad knowledge of renewable energy issues. Murdoch University has offered renewable energy programs since 1992 and is a leader in renewable energy teaching and research in Australia.

PREP APC Sustainable Packaging Fora May 2015Shaun Scallan
Planet Ark and GreenChip presented the Packaging Recyclability Evaluation Portal (PREP) at 3 fora on Sustainable Packaging. The events were held in May 2015 in Sydney, Adelaide and Melbourne. There were over 150 participants from the Australian packaging supply chain across the 3 events. These fora were made possible by the Australian Packaging Covenant.
Planet Ark Power is aimed at promoting commercial scale rooftop solar with no upfront cost using Power Purchase Agreements as the enabler. You get solar installed and just pay for what you use. The system is maintained for the life of the agreement and you own the system at the end of that agreement.
Packaging Recyclability Evaluation Portal or PREP allows packaging designers and manufacturers to determine if their packaging is recyclable at kerbside in Australia. PREP is both an assessment of technical recyclability and availability of kerbside collection Australia wide.

Trichogramma spp. is an efficient egg parasitoids that potentially assist to manage the insect-pests from the field condition by parasiting the host eggs. To mass culture this egg parasitoids effectively, we need to culture another stored grain pest- Rice Meal Moth (Corcyra Cephalonica). After rearing this pest, the eggs of Corcyra will carry the potential Trichogramma spp., which is an Hymenopteran Wasp. The detailed Methodologies of rearing both Corcyra Cephalonica and Trichogramma spp. have described on this ppt.
