The Louisiana Senior Medicare Patrol is offering one-on-one counseling sessions through a new Medicare Fraud Troubleshooting Clinic for seniors who believe they may be victims of Medicare fraud. Trained volunteer counselors will visit senior centers once a month to provide private advice to help beneficiaries understand their Medicare statements and identify potential fraud, errors, or abuse. To host a clinic, centers need to provide a table and two chairs for sessions. SMP will supply promotional materials and educational brochures for seniors.
