begin to learn about and understand another culture is
to experience it firsthand. With a clear awareness of
this importance of forging links of exchange and
mutual understanding, America-MidEast Educational
and Training Services Inc. (AMIDEAST) offers a
variety of opportunities for Americans to study and
train in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA),
and for citizens of the MENA region to do the same in
the United States. Through programs such as the
Education Abroad Program (for Americans) and the
Fulbright Foreign Student Program (for MENA
citizens), AMIDEAST promotes and makes accessible
the vital development of intercultural awareness.
