Pizzeria Panamá is a proposed commercial building to be constructed in Panama City, Panama. The two story building will be located on a corner lot near residential and banking areas. It will have major glazing on the first floor facing the corner streets to attract customers, with metal screens covering the second floor windows. Outdoor seating and a small pond are designed to encourage al fresco dining. The parking area and stormwater retention ponds are located behind the building.

2. General Site Location
Located in central metropolitan area of Panama city close to
“Cinta Costanera” across “Urraca Park” a corner lot consisting
of 4,160 Sq. m (44,756 Sq. Ft.) is a strategic business area
surround with high rise residential buildings and banking
services.

3. Detailed Site Location
The existing site is empty and face two major streets (47 East
St. & Rogelio Alfaro St.) single detached homes fill the rest of
the block while high rise residential predominate the area.

4. Site Development
Due to the site orientation (North/South) the facades facing
West and East are protect with metal screens. The parking
areas were design behind the building together with retention
ponds (un-common in Panama) as a way to avoid storm water
reaching main streets.

6. Main Elevation
The proposed building is two story high which major glazing
areas facing the corner streets as a way to attract potential
customers. The glass areas o the second floor are covered
with metal screens to minimize sun exposition.

7. Side Elevation
To break the horizontal design the right corner of the building
change to a higher roof. Outside eating and a small pond
encourage customers to share public space while eating “al
fresco”.
