Outside In is calling for submissions from artists who face barriers to accessing the art world due to health issues, disabilities, or other circumstances. Artists can submit up to 2 artworks online for free to be considered for the Outside In: National exhibition at Pallant House Gallery from October 2012 to February 2013. A second exhibition will be held at Compton Verney from March to December 2013, featuring artists from Central England. Surgery days are offered to help artists photograph and upload their work, as well as develop artist statements. Pre-registration is required and space is limited.

Are you an artist who finds it difficult to access the art
world, whether due to health, disability or social
circumstance? Create a gallery on the Outside In
website and submit your work for selection for the
Outside In: National exhibition.
Submit your work online for free from 22nd July 2011
to 20th July 2012.
Selected works will be shown at the Outside In:
National at Pallant House Gallery, West Sussex from
27th October 2012 to 3rd February 2013. Compton
Verney in Warwickshire will also be holding an
exhibition from March – December 2013, for artists
specifically from the Central region of England. The
selection for this will be taken from those put forward
for selection for the National exhibition.
Surgery Days
If you need assistance, we can help you set up your
online gallery and submit your artwork to the Outside
In: National in 2012
Come along to one of our Surgery Days in the Central
region and we can photograph and upload your
artwork, help you write your artist statement and sign
you up for your online gallery.
Places are limited. Please bring a helper with you
if required.
