Our Mission: To be
like CHRIST
1 Timothy 1:5
1 Timothy 1:5
The goal of this command is
LOVE, which comes from a pure
heart and a good conscience
and a sincere faith.
To be like CHRIST
Paul's Ultimate goal wasn't
saving souls. It was
"presenting everyone mature
in CHRIST."
Colossians 1:28
He is the one we proclaim,
admonishing and teaching
everyone with all wisdom, so
that we may present everyone
fully mature in Christ.
To be like CHRIST
1. We must focus on the
mission: to proclaim the faith
of the gospel.
1 Corinthians 15:3-4
For what I received I passed on to
you as of first importance: that
Christ died for our sins according
to the Scriptures, that he was
buried, that he was raised on the
third day according to the
Scriptures
To be like CHRIST
2. We must fulfill the mission
by walking consistently,
working cooperatively, and
warring confidently.
Philippians 1:27
Whatever happens, conduct
yourselves in a manner worthy of
the gospel of Christ.
Philippians 1:27
Then, whether I come and see
you or only hear about you in my
absence, I will know that you
stand firm in the one Spirit
striving together as one for the
faith of the gospel
To be like CHRIST
To be like Christ is a
SELFLESS way of life. No ego,
No statutes…
To be like CHRIST
God's response to humanity's
condition, legacy of injustice,
is to give us a gift:
GIFT: The life of JESUS.
Matthew 22:37-38
Jesus replied: ‘Love the Lord
your God with all your heart
and with all your soul and with
all your mind.’This is the first
and greatest commandment.
Matthew 22:39
And the second is like it: ‘Love
your neighbor as yourself.’
Micah 6:8
He has shown you, O mortal,
what is good. And what does the
Lord require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy
and to walk humbly with your
God.
Galatians 5:14
For the entire law is fulfilled in
keeping this one command:
“Love your neighbor as
yourself.”
1 Corinthians 13:13
And now these three remain:
faith, hope and love. But the
greatest of these is LOVE.
Keep in Mind
To be a Christian is to be Like
Christ.
Keep away from becoming
FRAT… and thinking FRAT.
Keep in Mind
We are called to judge
ourselves right from wrong in
a biblical context and live our
life accordingly…
Keep in Mind
We are not called to judge,
criticize, condemn non-
believers, “Christians” who
deny and disrespect God’s
word.
Keep in Mind
God loves them and He will
deal with them according to
His will.
What we ought to know and to
do is to Pray for them and
bring them to Christ.
Keep in Mind
We are called to do – judged
the “behavior” in a biblical
context
NOT judged (criticized or
condemned) the “person”
making the wrong choice.
Keep in Mind
We are Christians and people
will see how Christ is in us,
with us and be like Him all for
the Glory of God.

Editor's Notes

  • #12 He did righteousness and justice and yet he died on behalf of the guilty. Then God declared Jesus to be the righteous one when he rose from the dead. Jesus offers his life to the guilty so that they, too, can be declared righteous before God, not because of anything they have done, but because of what Jesus did for them.
  • #21 I am not called to judge non-believers. They deny and disrespect God's word. I expect it. I accept it. God loves them and He will deal with them according to His will. I am called to judge right from wrong in a Biblical context and live my life accordingly. I am called to judge right from wrong in a Biblical context and help my brothers and sisters in Christ to live their lives accordingly. There are "Christians" who deny and disrespect God's word. I expect it. I accept it. God loves them and He will deal with them according to His will. So you see, even though I judge denying and disrespecting God's word as "wrong", I still love and pray for those who do it. The best I can do is know, live, and as a pastor, teach the truth. I cannot force someone to believe. I cannot force someone to honor. While my heart aches for these people, non-believers and disobedient Christians alike, I don't get angry. I don't criticize and condemn. I love and pray for them.
