The OSIRIS consortium is formed by 7 Spanish partners led by Unión Fenosa Distribución and includes research centers and industrial partners. The goal of the OSIRIS project is to optimize supervision of Spain's smart grid by maximizing functionality and data from smart meters, ensuring proper communication network monitoring, and early identification of power losses to improve quality and reduce losses. The project will analyze communication errors, define minimum smart meter monitoring needs, test new meter functionalities, and evolve energy balance and loss calculation algorithms.
