3) Urgent action is needed from constitutional bodies like the President, judiciary, and Election Commission to ensure such calls for violence do not translate into worse incidents and undermine the secular and democratic principles of the Indian constitution.

This document discusses the rationality of including probabilities for actions in decision theory. It argues that Spohn's decision model improves on previous theories by not allowing subjective probabilities for acts. However, the author argues both for and against Spohn's principle. On one hand, they agree with Jeffrey that the principle should be given up. On the other hand, they try to argue against Jeffrey in favor of keeping the principle. The principle is important because it affects how actions are defined and solutions to problems like Newcomb's problem and theories of causality and free will.

Research On W.E.B Du Bois
Part one: Your subject
Detailed Historical/Biographical Overview of your subject
W.E.B Du Bois was a social scientist, an activist for civil rights, writer, and editor. He was born on 23/02/1868 in Great Barrington, Massachusetts, where he was raised in an extended family. He made a significant contribution to social work in society. He was enrolled in Fisk University, Berlin University, and Harvard University between 1885 and 1894, where he had the opportunity to meet many sociologists (Katz & Sugrue, 1998).
He became Harvard University's first Black American to graduate in the doctor of philosophy in 1895. Black Folk Souls urged blacks to fight racial inequality in their practice and opposed black leaders like Washington's civil rights policies. In the early 20th century, he spoke out for African American rights. At Atlanta Wilberforce University, he taught Greek and Latin, where he focused on teaching and engaging in liberation movements while questioning American discrimination.
Discuss the successes and failures associated with your subject.
Du Bois' main objective was to speak out against racial discrimination suffered by African Americans from white people. In 1899, the Philadelphia Negro was the first case he studied about the African American community. He explained in this study of “the talented tenth” a term to show that one out of every ten African Americans will be rulers of their group. This also tried to point the employment discrimination and accommodation as the obstacles to prospering black people in the north and on racial justice (Du Bois, 2013). He questioned so much how blacks highly regarded vocational education than their social life, such as higher learning and politics. Washington's assertion was always that the way African Americans would be able to eliminate segregation was by working hard and prosperity, so they should accept it because they never had any other way. Du Bois regarded this as an approach for weakening Black people to make them inferior. He fought for equality in every way. Du Bois co-founded the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People. He also became the editor of its magazine (Broderick, 1958)
However, Du Bois supported World War thinking that it could make the Blacks and White team together. He was wrong about this as the African soldiers faced racism even during the war. This failure haunted Do Bois till his death.
Make certain that you highlight controversial Issues associated with your subject
W.E.B Du Bois was affiliated with some controversial issues. He adhered to communist doctrines throughout his life. Du Bois visited the Soviet Union in 1917, the year that the Bolshevik revolution happened in Russia. It is the same year that the USA entered World War One. He was expelled from the NAACP, which he co-founded, in the 1930s for sympathizing with the Communist Party (Rabaka, 2003). Du Bois accepted th.
In his 1893 speech at the World Parliament of Religions in Chicago, Swami Vivekananda said that he was proud to belong to a nation which has sheltered refugees of all religions and nations of the earth. He said that sectarianism, bigotry and fanaticism have sent whole nations to despair. Vivekananda believed that one person certainly understood what India was all about - his name was Vivekananda. He reproduced a portion of Vivekananda's speech emphasizing tolerance and universal acceptance of all religions. The article argues that Vivekananda's words should guide India's judges, politicians and decision-makers in determining the nation's destiny.
The passage discusses three forms of conformity: compliance, obedience, and acceptance. Compliance involves publicly agreeing with social pressure while privately disagreeing. Obedience occurs when an individual follows an order from an authority figure. Acceptance involves internally adopting beliefs or behaviors to fit into a group. In April-May 1863, Lee's army surprised and defeated the Union Army of the Potomac, commanded by General Joseph Hooker, at Chancellorsville, Virginia. Over 17,000 Union soldiers were killed or wounded compared to around 13,000 Confederate casualties, but the South suffered a major blow with the death of General Stonewall Jackson from wounds sustained in the battle. The document summarizes a talk given by Datuk Dr Denison Jayasooria on the changing ethnic relations in Malaysia. Some key points:
1) Dr. Jayasooria argued that development in Malaysia must be viewed holistically and balance economic, social, cultural, civil and political rights.
2) He noted the emergence of an affluent middle class across all ethnic groups in Malaysia has led to new social and political realities beyond stereotypical inter-ethnic dynamics.
3) Issues of rising inequality, urban governance, and inclusive local development are increasingly important concerns that transcend ethnic divisions.
4) Greater public accountability, consultation, and strengthening of democratic institutions were seen as important to address
Fundamentalism across religions in India poses a threat to the country's democratic fabric. Religious fundamentalism promotes extreme views and intolerance toward other faiths. In India, various fundamentalist groups emerging from Hindutva, ISIS, and Christian sects express ideas like religious conversion, imposing one culture and religion, which cause harm. The rise of fundamentalism is fueled by increased religious conversions and a lack of openness to other faiths, leading to more attacks on religious sites. For India to prosper, people must embrace a more humanistic and love-oriented approach between religions instead of one dominated by laws and rigidity.

An astonishing, first-of-its-kind, report by the NYT assessing damage in Ukraine. Even if the war ends tomorrow, in many places there will be nothing to go back to.
Here is Gabe Whitley's response to my defamation lawsuit for him calling me a rapist and perjurer in court documents.
You have to read it to believe it, but after you read it, you won't believe it. And I included eight examples of defamatory statements/

1. ;;;Open Letter to My Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi
To
Narendra Modi ji,
Hon’ble Prime Minister of India,
New Delhi,
Date:
Subject: An Open Letter Filled with Pain, Anguish and Disappointment.
Hello Modiji,
Hon’ble Prime Minister, hope you find this letter in good spirit. The reason for writing this
letter is pain, anguish and disappointment. Pain because of how your new government has
welcomed students, anguish due to the complete disregard to laws, institutions and
constitution and disappointment for the hypocrisy that you have been preaching.
I along with my three office bearers, previous year office bearers Geeta former JNUSU
president, Shubhanshu and other 15-20 student activists have been “Academically
Suspended” by JNU VC and his administration. Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar, the present
Vice Chancellor under whose orders the Chief Proctor has “Academically Suspended” us
has been appointed by your previous government in 2016. Neither have me or any of my
comrades or fellow activists have been punished nor any showcause notice served to us.
Somehow from the time he became our VC he has been trying to emulate you to near
perfection. At times we wonder, if he is just a mirror image of yours. I believe Mamidala has
taken inspiration from your then HRD Minister Smriti Irani’s order to ostracise Rohith
Vemula and his friends through such similar academic suspension, where Rohith and his
friends were made outsidersin their own space. They were banned from entering academic
spaces, their hostel facilities revoked and Rohith was forced to stay out on the streets. The act
had both symbolic and ideological essence.
Modi ji, the organisation you cherish to belong to - RSS - has time and again celebrated the
ethos and spirit of Manusmriti. In 1949 through its official magazine RSS manifested its love
for Manusmriti and its hate for Indian constitution where it called principles like equality and
others not part of Indian culture. The antagonism towards our constitution from RSS and BJP
has been evident through statements of yours MPs, Ministers and party members, not to miss
RSS stalwarts.
Its not ironical that the first notice I got in March 2016 was for burning those texts of
Manusmriti on International Women’s day which were completely anti women and anti
dalit. It is in this context, Rohith’s suspension and later his institutional murder have to be
remembered. It was message to students and people in general who resisted RSS’s
2. Hindutva filled idea of India that you will be shown your place i.e. on the street,
marginalised, alone with all state propaganda against you.
Now your 2019 campaign started with a similar but even more powerful message to all those
who have been fighting the hate filled, xenophobic, racist and communal Hindutva ideology
that you want to impose on India. You showed it through making a follower of Godse (the
one who killed Gandhi) - the terror accused Pragya Singh Thakur, a Member of Parliament
and made Pratap Chandra Sarangi, a person who headed Bajrang Dal when its cadres burnt
alive Graham Staines and his two children, a Minister in your cabinet.
It is at this time that your government through puppet sycophant Vice Chancellors are
targeting universities through repression, fund cuts, seat cuts, and decimation of social justice
through scuttling reservations, implementation of New Education policy, saffronisation,
privatisation and corporatisation of education. Students have been turned into commodities
and anyone resisting and fighting back are victimised. Those who resist and continue to find
strength to fight back are hounded, trolled, punished and then ostracised.
At a time when dalits were dying in gutters in your 'new' India, contractual workers in JNU
along with sanitation workers were demanding JNU administration to implement labour
commissioner’s order for equal pay for equal work. My participation along with other
student activists was a crime in the dictionary of your puppet VC Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar.
Similarly at a time when you were giving speeches after speeches on how India will become
ViswaGuru, JNU VC like other university VC’s was slashing funds for libraries. In JNU
there was 80% fund cut of library. Yes Modi ji, an 80% fund cut - and you know we are
being served notices for resisting his onslaught.
You have always boasted how generous and tolerant you are, how concerned about
preserving and enriching freedom of expression. I have been served proctorial notices for
raising RSS Murdabad, ABVP murdabad slogans and my original, well-researched MPhil
thesis written through my hard work blocked by JNU VC and his admin for raising these
slogans. This is your new India where resisting and speaking against RSS that never
supported or participated in Indian freedom struggle is a crime. You might have forgotten this
history or it was not taught to you in your "entire political science" degree but it is the truth.
RSS has overtly and covertly supported the British empire in their repression of Indian
people fighting for freedom. RSS icons begged for mercy from the British Queen.
Your Digital India that you promoted with much fanfare, and which people like my VC are
claiming to strive to implement, has turned into Scam India. Questions papers and answer
paper get leaked. The leaked question papers are filled with questions copy pasted from
various question banks and other sources. A similar scam was instituted by Mamidala in JNU
through online entrance examination of JNU which was riddled with incompetency, leakages
and copy pasting of questions. Questioning this system and exposing this scam has brought
upon me not one, but multiple enquiries. You call your government scam and corruption free,
why not institute an judicial enquiry into this massive scam? Are you afraid that like in
Rafale scam skeletons will fall and your so called incorruptible image which you have been
3. selling through travelling in Adani flights, through PayTM advertisements and designer
clothes will get exposed? Was this why we were “Academically Suspended”?
Me and my fellow comrades are facing proctorial enquires where without any legal precedent
of law or any rule we all have been “Academically Suspended”. Which means that we
aren’t students of JNU, our hostels will be snatched, we will be pushed out of the
university, made out of bounds and every space in the university will made free of democracy
and discussion. This is your NEW INDIA, where the constitution, rule of law and justice are
words only meant to written in books and preserved through archaeology. The new norm is
not violation of rule of law but decimation of any that is left. This “academic suspension”
is of that kind, where the initiation of enquiry itself is construed as crime with proven guilty
from the beginning. Be it mob lynching, Godi Media and social media propaganda or
institutionalised lies through WhatsApp and speeches of you hon’ble Prime Minister and
others the axiom “innocent until proved guilty” is replaced with “guilty from the time of
resistance till death irrespective of being proven innocent”.
Modi ji, I was wondering are there any other kinds of suspensions? Like politically
suspended, socially suspended, culturally suspended or any other suspended “suspended”.
Its my humble request that you please make it clear as I didn’t study entire political science
or did any course on Manusmriti trendily called as Manu law which your government has
been practising.
I have a lot to write, but I must be foolish to expect you to have time to read this as you must
be busying electioneering by touring the country giving speeches or hoping countries to fix
deals for your near and dear corporates. But yet it was important for me to let my Prime
Minister to know that h has competitors in the form of numerous Vice Chancellors and
administrators who in order to prove their loyalty are setting new bench marks in tyranny and
cruelty. I believe you learn fast and you have been devising ways to defeat them and stand
tall as the only leader, sorry despot, who believes in noning other than complete tyranny.
Anyway the lessons you learnt from your guru Golwalkar who in turn imbibed every word of
“Veer” Sarvarkar who plagiarised Hitler’s Nazism and Mussolini’s Fascism with both
letter and spirit are being indoctrinated into every Indian. Gandhi spoke and fought against
this hate, Ambedkar foresaw this rise of fascism, that’s why he drafted and gave the
marginalised the constitution and Bhagat Singh saw the truth of your RSS’s communalism
and vehemently spoke and wrote against it. He went to gallows without seeking mercy,
unlike your “Veer” Sarvarkar who begged and begged the queen and the British to spare
him. He promised his loyalty for the British for his freedom, a promise he kept and taught the
RSS to keep during the entire freedom movement.
Today you want students like us to go the the “Veer” Sarvarkar path seeking mercy from
you and your VC. However, the path we will take is of Bhagat Singh, the one that fought
against communal and fascist forces. Yes this is another freedom movement, one that we
have started to make India free of RSS which wants Hindutva which speaks hate, promises
4. poison, delivers mob lynching, institutionalised divide and rule and wants to implement
Manusmriti. We know you want to idolise Godse, that’s why you fear universities, you fear
students who think and who fight back. We know you will bring the might of the state to
silence us, but what you don’t know is we are Periyar, Phule, Savitribai, Gandhi,
Ambedkar, Abul Kalam Azad, Ashfaqulla Khan and others. We will fight like them, for truth,
justice and freedom from Hindutva and corporate loot. Till then with love, your “
Academically Suspended” student.
Inquilab Zindabad!
