This document outlines a teacher's grading policy, communication tools, and a recent project. 3.  Grading Policy:
 10% Homework
 Current Events due EVERY Tuesday
 Students are allowed to miss 2 per quarter
 The Current Events Sheet is in the classroom as well as on my
moodle page.
 10% Bellwork Folders
 These are Folders that are kept in the classroom; never taken home
 Each day there will be a bellwork in the bin for the students to work
on
 They are graded EVERY Friday
 10% Projects
 Quarter 1 Projects: (1)Personality Portfolios & (2)Nutrition Project
 30% Quizzes
 40% Tests
 First Test Tomorrow, Friday 9/28/12

4.  Grades are posted on E-School Gradebook in a
timely fashion.
 If you are having trouble logging into E-School
Gradebook let me know through an email and I
will update you about grades from class

5.  If a student is absent we have absent forms that
need to be filled out when they return to class:
 When an absent form is filled out, I will get that
student all of the work that they missed while not in
class.
 Students may also fill out an absence form in
advance as well.
 Field trips that they know about
 Class trips (ex: Nicaragua; E-team Trips; etc.)
 We are trying to teach students responsibility!

6.  Log on to the Northport-East Northport School District website
 Under the Quick Links section on the left side of the screen locate
and click on Moodle Virtual Classroom
 Your log in will be your child’s first name and last name separated
by a period (example: john.smith)
 Your password will be your child’s initials and the last four
numbers of their student ID (example: js9865)
 When you reach the course page, you will be asked to enter an
enrollment key. The enrollment key for our course is:
 Tracey Braun = Braun
 Sari Serrao = Serrao
 Diana Vitale-Hicks = Vitale
