Subic is a popular tourist spot in Central Luzon known for its beaches and world-class water activities in Subic Bay. The Ocean Adventure in Subic Bay is Southeast Asia's only open-water marine park that houses aquatic animals in pens within Subic Bay itself rather than land-based pools. Ocean Adventure is located in Subic Bay Freeport Zone, which used to be a US naval base, around 100 km from Manila and accessible via a 3-4 hour drive depending on traffic. The park features a sea lion show, whale presentation, and discovery aquarium.
