Nucleya: The New Hope For Desi Talents
The Red Bull Tour Bus would be back to Mumbai for their fourth
edition of the gig in the city. The show to be held at P.J. Hindu
Gymkhana, Mumbai on October 14.
From massive launches to amazing tracks, Nucleya takes
Desi talents to a height!
On being questioned, Nucleya said that his inspiration comes
from positive thoughts and positive people. When negativity
arises, it's all downhill from there.
When the social media is scattered with the success stories,
here we introduce a talent who raise to international standards
yet kept the humility within him alive. Yes, we talk about none
the other than Udyan Sagar (the name behind the moniker,
Nucleya) who began with the critically acclaimed 'Bandish
Projekt' and today is making all the venues leap to his brand of
electronic music.
He’s a humble artist who remained the same even after tasting
international success. He is lots more admired for the human
side of an artist and an unexpected strain to deliver quality
without any miss. This says about his dedication!
Nucleya says that success doesn’t come easily and maintaining
that level of success every time is more difficult.
Nucleya is ready to repeat the same madness as he takes to
the Red Bull Tour Bus Off The Roof stage for the very first time
on the 16th of October at Hindu Gymkhana, Mumbai. Expect
innovative music and a kickass live visual set, the same old
dancing frenzy that is the highlight of a Nucleya gig every
single time.
In brief, to mention, Nucleya is a bass heavy electronic artist
from Ahmedabad. He co-founded the Bandish Projekt in the
late '90s and also has played a number of gigs across the
country. He also performed at several music festivals around
the world that include Glastonbury, Edinburgh Fringe Festival,
Lille 3000 and the Electron Festival, where he performed
alongside artists like Diplo and Modeselektor.
After parting ways with Bandish Projekt, Nucleya moved
towards producing bass-heavy music.
Nucleya says that the Bollywood industry is on the verge of
embracing 'cool and edgy numbers'. He added that Bollywood
is yet big, and it's tough to go beyond.
But if they play it correctly, they’ll at least get a chance to fight
at some point over the coming five years. He is of the opinion
that the future is quite bright. The fact is not about Western
music entering India, but it's time for the home-grown talents.
Revealing on his future projects, he says, that he would be
working on his follow up to Bass Rani.
On that he experimented with Indian music and collaborated
with the likes of Sivamani and Julius Sylvest, so he’s hopeful
about the collaboration.
He said that he would work on next season's live shows. He
plans to broaden his shows to include animations, video
content, and dancers.
In short, from playing an organiser-promoter-DJ at gigs in the
farmhouses on the outskirts of Ahmedabad to performing to a
crowd of 35,000 people at college festivals in Jalandhar,
Nucleya has clearly set the right trigger.
To mention Divine’s new single would be collaboration with
none other than the Nucleya and it’s for Anurag Kashyap’s
upcoming movie. Divine a.k.a. Vivian Fernandez made the
Summer House Café of Mumbai fame, sway to the beats of
crowd favorites like Meri Gully and Farak.
A lucky few got the glimpse of the first ever performance of
Divine’s 2013 single number Yeh Mera Bombay with a spin by
Nucleya.....the track brings out the star in you. It would be the
first collaboration between Divine and Nucleya since Jungle
Raja, and as per the live rendition of their unreleased song, it
appears to be a major hit.
The song gonna be featured in a film titled Mukkabaaz, which is
under the direction by Anurag Kashyap, and co-produced by
Aanand L Rai. The movie is about a love-story of a beatboxer
from Uttar Pradesh and a Brahmin girl.
So it seems Nucleya has lots in store for his fans.Keep watching
him, keep listening Nucleya.....An epitome of being a humble
man behind the artist. With this, we conclude.
