SIA Summit Awards 2013
3 projects headed by me (and supervised by the Creative Director) received awards at the SIA Summit Awards 2013. It was a fabulous achievement for me and the team.
Logo Creation - Promo Star
A particularly challenging project for us as the client specified the colors for use (black and red) and gave us little else. We based our options on upward momentum and star quality. Logo design 1 was the eventual winner.
Proposal - The New Office
A concept borne from reading one too many graphic novels - to celebrate the new Office and enhance updation to the same, my art director and I imagined a world without Microsoft Office. I was in charge of the creation of all the copy.
Proposal - MSP+ Program
The MSP program is an established initiative that the client wanted to take a step further. We were charged with revamping the program and planning innovative ways to attract, maintain and incentive young students to join and remain in the program.
May09 Kolkata Fashion Week
This document provides a summary of the Kolkata Fashion Week. It discusses interviews with various designers such as Mona Pali and Zeenat Aman about their collections. Reading: Your Passport to the World
The document discusses the growth of reading culture in the UAE. It notes that books allow travel anywhere without passports or visas. While oral storytelling has long been a part of Middle Eastern culture, a writing culture was less established with few bookstores or opportunities for discussion. However, things have changed with 2016 being declared the UAE's Year of Reading. Dubai now hosts an annual literature festival and more initiatives are encouraging children and parents to read and write. Book clubs and writing groups have also emerged, giving the author a new outlook after joining a writing group. The National Reading Law is expected to further increase reading in the UAE. The upcoming Month of Reading in October promises more stories for avid readers to discover
Top 10 Films of 2014
I love films. I am addicted to them. I will spend hours pouring over forums, reviews, insights and analyses of films that I love and loathe. I find no greater outlet for expressing my passion than by writing about the subject. Thankfully, with Window on Travel, I get that opportunity every month.
I don't like cricket... I love it.
I love cricket, and during my university days my one goal was to take in as much cricket as I could. County cricket is the best way to take in the atmosphere, and I was glad to sign up for my sole Fan Following venture. It's set to a pretty tight deadline, but when it's cricket, everything's possible.
Microsoft Gulf2Greatness Concept Notes
The client publishes an annual book. As they enter a new cycle, they wanted to portray and reflect on their hopes of the future as well as set in motion the theme for the coming years. We were charged with devising themes befitting their transitional state.

This section of the magazine was co-founded by my colleague and me. I wrote and reviewed new exhibitions, food festivals and cinema experiences as well as interviewed designers, painters, dancers and beauty queens.

Feature - Kolkata Fashion Week
As a Correspondent I had the privilege of attending, photographing and covering the first ever Kolkata Fashion Week. It an eye-opening experience, but fun and unique all the same. I got on so well with the event management company that they virtually pleaded for me to return to cover the next installment of the event. Unfortunately, I had to decline as I was on my way to University.
Article - ESPN Cricinfo Fan Following Report
The document summarizes a fan's experience attending a Sussex vs Middlesex T20 match, noting logistical issues with ticket collection but an otherwise enjoyable day watching Middlesex pull off an exciting victory thanks to strong performances from Tim Murtagh and Owais Shah. Script - BlackBerry 7.1
This document provides a script for a BlackBerry 7.1 advertisement. It describes animations showing the 7.1 lockup spinning to reveal new apps like mobile hotspot, NFC, enhanced battery life, and FM radio. Text then appears highlighting key features for each app, such as making productivity easier and sharing exciting. The ad emphasizes maximizing the touch and type experience and upgrading to the 7.1 OS to enjoy information and entertainment. It concludes by showing the Bold and Curve smartphone models alongside text to upgrade today.
Proposal - Windows 8 Apps Booklet
The document discusses plans to create an Apps Booklet to promote awareness of the variety of apps available for Windows 8 devices. The booklet will provide information on best paid apps, best free apps, best local apps, and new releases. It will be placed in academic institutions, retail stores, and kiosks across the UAE to reach electronics users, Windows enthusiasts, and students. The goal is to help drive awareness and usage of the Windows app ecosystem.
Proposal - Garnier Light Complete Door Hanger
An innovative POS idea provided by the client - taken forward by us with these three options. Unfortunately, we did not see the execution of them come to fruition.
