Nagypáli is a village of 380 inhabitants located in Hungary 8 km from Zalaegerszeg. It has an active local government and community groups that engage residents in cultural and social activities. The village is currently developing a new housing estate to attract younger residents and double the population. Nagypáli has detailed plans to build a biomass power station and innovation center to promote renewable energy technologies like solar, pellet heating, geothermal, and wind power. They also aim to construct a biomass and biogas power station for independent energy supply and establish a pellet production plant and energy crops on 600 hectares.
