Last week $3.135 Million in Commercialization Infrastructure grants were awarded by Colorado’s Office of Economic and International Trade (OEDIT) under the Bioscience Discovery Evaluation Grant Program (BDEGP). Colorado BioScience Association (CBSA) appreciates the OEDIT for its ongoing commitment to the state’s bioscience industry through the BDEGP, which was created in 2006 by the Colorado General Assembly.
Colorado BioScience Association (CBSA) is releasing its annual edition of Bioscience Colorado, this week, at the BIO International Convention in San Diego, CA. Bioscience Colorado is a key resource for companies, investors and economic developers, and has become the go-to source for the industry.

Cat Care Society (CCS) received a check for $900 “harvested” from pennies collected by Northglenn’s Leroy Elementary students from family and friends. A national program of the Young Philanthropists Foundation, Penny Harvest started earlier in the school year when the Leroy students voted on the areas of focus for their project, researched appropriate charities and vetted them.
More than 40 exhibitors will be showcasing new technologies, products and services for 500+ attendees at the 2012 BioWest Conference & Expo, September 11, at the Marriott City Center, Denver. Logan Collins, a junior at Boulder’s Fairview High School, was named winner of Colorado’s 2014 BioGENEius Challenge at a statewide competition held during April at the Colorado Science and Engineering Fair in Fort Collins. The announcement is made by Colorado BioScience Association (CBSA) President and CEO April Giles, who says, “This is the first year for the competition in Colorado. We’re proud that Logan will represent our state and move on to compete against students from the U.S. and Canada at the International BioGENEius Challenge, held June 20-24 at the 2014 BIO International Convention in San Diego.”
