our brain in ageing and mental illnesses,
are big questions and challenges of our
society.
The Basque Government and the
University of the Basque Country
(UPV/EHU), together with the Achucarro
centre, BCBL - Basque Center on
Cognition, Brain and Language and
Biodonostia Health Research Institute
are supporting the organisation of the third
meeting of the Basque research community

How to participate
The main objective of Neurogune is to foster the networking and community spirit of
individuals working on the advance of knowledge about the brain. Neurogune is excited to
hear about the latest findings of the Basque community of neurosciences, as well as from
colleagues willing to establish collaborations with research groups established in the Basque
Country.
In honor to our ties with the region of Aquitaine in France and the cross-border campus of
the UPV/EHU and the University of Bordeaux, our colleagues from the Bordeaux
Neurocampus are warmly welcome to participate in this edition.

There will be awards for the best posters of each topic: Cellular and Molecular
Neuroscience; Behavioural and Cognitive Neuroscience; Imaging; Neurology and Psychiatry.
All the participants will be given the chance to vote for the best posters in their opinion,
and the winners will be announced before the closure of the meeting.

Bizkaia Aretoa - The Main Hall of the UPV/EHU in Bilbao
The meeting will be held in the Bizkaia Aretoa Building in Bilbao, Bizkaia.
The Bizkaia Aretoa is located in one of the most emblematic parts of Bilbao. Its L-shaped main
building opens out onto the estuary and the Guggenheim Museum, and is placed right in the
middle of Avenida Abandoibarra, between the Padre Arrupe footbridge and the Deusto bridge.
