The author took a family vacation to Medellin, Colombia in July 2015. They flew from Bogota to Medellin with Avianca, arriving around 7pm and staying at the Casa Mayor hotel. During their trip, they had breakfast at the hotel, relaxed by the pool, had lunch consisting of traditional Paisa cuisine, visited the Pablo Tobon Uribe Theatre and Botero square, traveled around the city by subway, took a day trip to Bello, and purchased souvenirs before flying back to Bogota.
