 Managed and investigated a multiple manslaughter enquiry (8 deaths) requiring 180,000 
miles of travel and 18 months of work resulting in a trial at The Old Bailey and subsequent 
commendation from the trial judge, Lord Chief Justice Tony Hidden

Achievements: 
 Selected from over 300 applicants nationwide for a six month Foreign and Commonwealth 
Office secondment to the Falkland Islands Police following the 1982 war with Argentina
and retained for a second six-month secondment (the only officer to be so retained during 
the four year secondment period) 
 One of the youngest officers to be selected for the Home Office Residential Crime 
Prevention Course at Stafford
