The housing market continues to struggle with an oversupply of homes for sale. According to a new report from S&P, it will take between 12 and 30 months to clear the current shadow inventory of homes in various housing markets across the United States. The length of time varies significantly depending on the specific local market, with some of the hardest hit areas like Phoenix and Las Vegas needing 30 months or more to reduce inventory levels.
