Modal verbs like can, may, might, should, must, and mustn't are used with infinitives to express ability, possibility, advice, obligation, and prohibition. Can expresses ability, may and might express possibility or uncertainty, should and shouldn't provide advice or recommendations, and must and mustn't convey obligation or something that is prohibited. Examples are given for how each modal verb is used in sentences with an infinitive verb.
