U.S. Army Infantryman (11Bravo) July 2006 – October 2010
C Co., 2-506th IN, 4th BCT, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort Campbell, KY
1-year deployment to Afghanistan, March 2008 – March 2009 as rifleman.
Deployed to and operated in Kandahar and Paktika provinces where the elevations exceeded 7,500
ft. while carrying gear weighing over 70 lbs. and costing thousands of dollars. None of my issued
equipment was ever lost or broken.
Post-deployment, last 15 months before discharge
Hand selected as the Training Room NCO (non-commissioned officer) where it was my and my
teams’ (3 Soldiers) job to oversee and manage the company’s (approx. 130 Soldiers) personnel
logistics.
My responsibilities included:
o Onboarding new Soldiers into the unit.
o Supported the Commanding Officer, Executive Officer, and the First Sergeant with
daily, weekly and monthly schedules.
o Became proficient at Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
o Organizational and task management skills applied.
o Worked at a frenetic pace for long hours and even longer days.
