Mindanao, an island group in the Philippines, has significant untapped natural resources and economic potential that could help reduce poverty. Over half of the Philippines' natural resources are located in Mindanao, including fertile land, forests, minerals worth over $1 trillion, and fisheries. Indigenous peoples own half of Mindanao's land and are seeking partners to help develop resources and provide benefits to communities. The organization has signed an agreement with the Indigenous People Economic Union to develop over 1,235,000 acres in Mindanao and create economic opportunities for indigenous peoples and investors.
