My Favorite Vacation Spot!!
On the way we stop by Renard’s and buy some of the best cheese I have ever had. The cheese curds are the best, but you must buy them fresh. You can go to www.renards.com and order some!!
When in Door County you must stop by Al Johnson’s Swedish Restaurant and see the goats on the roof!!
We stayed in Ellison Bay, where my family has been going since my grandparents first got married. We would rent out a house that had 3 bedrooms and a large room upstairs and only one bathroom. We would fill the house with anywhere from 15 plus people.

This was the view from the back of the house we would always stay in. My Uncle would bring black tubes for everyone to use.
Our crammed van full for the road trip there and back!! Always fishing!
Getting into the boat to go water skiing!

Relaxing! Getting ready to go swimming.
Cherry picking is a must. We would pick the cherries, go back to the house and get all of the seeds out. Then my Aunt Lynn would make some cherry pies. My Aunt Julie would make some cherry sauce to put on Uncle Charlie’s funnel cakes the next morning. What a treat.
If you are not afread of heights then there are several things to go do. Check out the bluff in Ellison bay, the Penelur State park tower, and the devels bath tub where the water would crash if it was windy.
Drive your car onto the ferri to go to Washington Island.
If we needed any food we would walk to the Pioneer Store. We really like the blue moon ice cream.
Another place we would walk to was Wilson’s to get a ice cream treat.
We would always enjoy the sunsets. If you are ever looking for a great place to visit check out Door County, Wisconsin.
